CADUI provides an international forum for discussion between researchers, practioners and students interested in new approaches for the advancement of tools, design environments, methods and related infrastructure that provide assistance to designers and developers in the user interface development life cycle, including requirementes elicitation, early design, rapid prototyping, detailed design, development, software testing, usability evaluation, deployment, maintenance and reengineering.

CADUI 2008 is the seventh conference of this series and will be held in Albacete, Spain. The conference will consist of three days of scientific presentations. This edition will emphasize the theme of “Design, Quality and New Interaction Paradigms in a Collaborative World”.

The CADUI 2008 technical committee solicits papers describing original, previously unpublished, completed or on-going research.

  • Design of multi-user and/or collaborative user interfaces
  • User-interface design and specification methods and languages
  • Formal methods in interactive systems development
  • Model-Based Interface Development Environments (MB-IDEs)
  • Software tools and techniques for widget selection and placement
  • Automated and semi-automated techniques for user interface generation
  • User interface design patterns
  • Agent-based UI: interface agents, personal agents, intelligent agents, architectures
  • Design of adaptive, adaptable and customizable UI
  • Knowledge-based interface design
  • Quality, usability and accessibility in UI design
  • Methods, metrics and tools for computer-aided evaluation of UI
  • Ubiquitous interfaces and smart environments
  • Virtual Reality and Collaborative Virtual Environments
  • Design of computer graphics applications, including computer games and visualization
  • Methods and experiences for novel interfaces, including tangible, mixed-reality and multimodal interfaces

For the submission format of your paper, authors are requested to keep as close as possible to final camera-ready versions.

Accepted submissions will be presented in the main conference program, published in the conference proceedings. Each submission should be limited to 12 pages formatted according to Springer formatting guidelines accessible for a single-column edited volume accessible at Springer website .Accepted submissions will appear as a chapter in the hard-cover book «Computer-Aided Design of User Interfaces VI». Please, note that all figures, drawings, pictures, and artwork included in the paper submissions should have a resolution of 600 DPI or higher.
